I’ve been there. Personally for me, working in 9 to 5 job is pretty depressing. The preparation to clock in on time at 9am can be very stressful.
I’ve to wake up as early as 5-6am just to get ready to work. On top, I hate to wear the formal office attire. On some occasions, I have to wear a coat. In Malaysia, It’s hot to wear a coat, and I was sweating inside out most of the time, so you can imagine why I hate it.
After that, I have to get stuck in traffic for 2 to 3 hours a day. Making things worst was to clock out at 5 pm on time was a bad thing. My boss will give me a look, or my colleague will just simply thinks I have not enough work. So, I have to stay back until 6-7 pm.
After a few years, I think I had enough of this 9 to 5 job. I need changes.
I started to do a lot of freelance and commission based works; it’s mean more flexibility in the job. However, some jobs don’t pay as good as 9 to 5 job.
I was struggling to pay bills and in a lot of piling debts.
But, I continued to find things that worked for me.
That is when my wife and I started the online business. At first, it was hard. We have to start from zero. Everything. There were tons of paperwork, new skills to learn and things to catch up.
Fast forward a few years , we managed to get through it. Like people said “Tough times don’t last; tough people do.”
However, my wife and I embraced another 9 to 5 job. We work at home. We are still working a good 9-10 hours but on our terms and our business. It’s amazing when you can work at home doing things that you love.
Today, we’re still keep going to grow our business and keep hustle. And hoping to make a mark in affiliate marketing.
